AUTODESK COURSES

Autodesk AutoCAD Essential:

The objective of AutoCAD/AutoCAD Essential is to enable students to create a basic 2D drawing in the AutoCAD software. Even at this fundamental level, the AutoCAD software is one of the most sophisticated computer applications that you are likely to encounter. Therefore learning to use it can be challenging. It covers the essential core topics for working with the AutoCAD software. The teaching strategy is to start with a few basic tools that enable the student to create and edit a simple drawing, and then continue to develop those tools. More advanced tools are also introduced throughout the training guide.

Not every command or option is covered, because the intent is to show the most essential tools and concepts, such as:

  • Understanding the AutoCAD workspace and user interface.
  • Using basic drawing, editing, and viewing tools.
  • Organizing drawing objects on layers.
  • Inserting reusable symbols (blocks).
  • Preparing a layout to be plotted.
  • Adding text, hatching, and dimensions.

Prerequisites:

A working knowledge of basic design/drafting procedures and terminology.
A working knowledge of your operating system.

Course Duration:

40 Hrs

Autodesk AutoCAD Advanced:

AutoCAD 2016 Advanced introduces advanced techniques and teaches you to be proficient in your use of the AutoCAD® software. This is done by teaching you how to recognize the best tool for the task, the best way to use that tool, and how to create new tools to accomplish tasks more efficiently.

  • Advanced Text Objects
  • Working with Tables
  • Defining dynamic blocks and attributes
  • Outputting and publishing files for review
  • Collaboration and automation tools
  • Creating, publishing, and customizing sheet sets
  • Managing Layers
  • CAD Management and System Setup
  • Enhancing productivity by customizing the AutoCAD interface
  • Using macros and custom routines

Prerequisites:

Completion of AutoCAD®/AutoCAD LT® 2016 Essential or equivalent.

Course Duration:

24 Hrs

Autodesk Revit Architecture Essential :

This training guide is designed to teach you the Autodesk Revit functionality as you would work with it throughout the design process. You begin by learning about the user interface and basic drawing, editing, and viewing tools. Then you learn design development tools including how to model walls, doors, windows, floors, ceilings, stairs and more. Finally, you learn the processes that take the model to the construction documentation phase.

The objective this training guide is to enable students to create full 3D architectural project models and set them up in working drawings. This training guide focuses on basic tools that the majority of users need.

  • Understanding the purpose of Building Information Management (BIM) and how it is applied in the Autodesk Revit software.
  • Navigating the Autodesk Revit workspace and interface.
  • Working with the basic drawing and editing tools.
  • Creating Levels and Grids as datum elements for the model.
  • Creating a 3D building model with walls, curtain walls, windows, and doors.
  • Adding floors, ceilings, and roofs to the building model.
  • Creating component-based and custom stairs.
  • Adding component features, such as furniture and equipment.
  • Setting up sheets for plotting with text, dimensions, details, tags, and schedules.
  • Creating details

Prerequisites:

An understanding of architectural terminology is an asset.

Course Duration:

30 Hrs

Autodesk Revit Architecture Advanced:

Conceptual Design & Visualization training guide is to enable students who have worked with Autodesk Revit Architecture to expand their knowledge in the areas of Conceptual Design, including massing studies, space planning, visualization, and rendering.

  • Create In-Place Conceptual Mass elements and Conceptual Mass families
  • Create building elements from massing studies
  • Use Rooms and Areas for space planning and analysis
  • Create perspectives, sketches, exploded views, and solar studies
  • Understand the concepts of rendering and lighting
  • Create topographic surfaces
  • Add property lines and building pads
  • Modify top surfaces with sub regions, splitting surfaces and grading the regions
  • Annotate site plans and add site components
  • Work with Shared Coordinates.

Pre-requisites:

Revit Architecture Fundamentals course. Knowledge of basic techniques is assumed, such as creating walls, roofs, and other objects, copying and moving objects, creating and working with views, etc.

Course Duration:

30 Hrs

Autodesk Revit Structure Essential:

This training guide is intended to introduce students to the user interface and the basic building components of the software that makes it a powerful and flexible structural modeling tool. The goal is to familiarize you with the tools necessary to create, modify, and document your parametric model.

  • Introduction to the Autodesk Revit Structure software
  • Basic Drawing and Editing Tools
  • Setting up Levels and Grids
